Manufacturing Dissent Since 1996
New interviews throughout the week

Greetings from sunny, parched, debt-stricken, mid-exodus Puerto Rico.

The crisis we face here is the kind that prompts the question ‘Is Puerto Rico the new Greece?’ You see, the government is in debt for some $70 billion, and come the next fiscal year, there’s no money to pay off the debt or even run the government. And the next fiscal year starts in… two weeks.

Our Man in San Juan, Dave Buchen checks in from multiple crises – economic, professional, political – with some good news (acting gigs, balcony ownership) and way more bad news (debt, tourism, corruption, colonialism, dinghies.)
