Manufacturing Dissent Since 1996
New interviews throughout the week

We should all be afraid: A whistleblower's report on the price of secrecy and surveillance.

I believe the FBI is a malignant force. I think it is anathema to the American way of life. They are happy and willing to use the Espionage Act to target anybody who is a dissenter. Those of us who don't tow the party line, or disagree with this policy of constant, perpetual war - you're in danger of an espionage investigation.

CIA whistleblower John Kiriakou discusses his experiences in the government's ongoing and escalating war on whistleblowers, and warns of America's dangerous post-9/11 path of increased government surveillance, decreased oversight of law enforcement and permanent war footing - an existential threat to the survival of democracy itself.

John wrote the recent article The FBI Isn’t Done With Me for Reader Supported News.
