15 Million Excess Deaths from US For-Profit Health Insurance / Nick Smolek

Sep 15
The book is interested in this correlation between what public health researchers have noted as 15 million excess deaths since the early 1980s…that would not have died statistically in systems that have that have universal healthcare. This wasn’t always the case. It began at a certain point in time when the cost of healthcare in America started to detach from peer countries and excess deaths started to rise over peer countries.

Ill Will Editions editor Nick Smolek joins us to discuss the forthcoming book, Depose: Luigi Mangione, the Right to Health, and the Unfinished American Revolution.

"Rotten History" from Renaldo Migaldi follows the interview.
