Siddharth Kara

Siddharth Kara is a British Academy Global Professor and an expert in modern slavery and human trafficking. He is the author of Sex Trafficking: Inside the Business of Modern Slavery (2009), Bonded Labor: Tackling the System of Slavery in South Asia (2012), Modern Slavery: A Modern Perspective (2017 and, most recently, Cobalt Red: How the Blood of the Congo Powers our Lives (2023).
